Description:
Barrier-1 is a North Carolina based waterproofing concrete
admixture manufacturer. Our products stop water migration
into and vapor emission out of concrete. With today’s
fast track construction schedules and water based flooring
adhesives, flooring failures and construction delays are rapidly
increasing with costs exceeding one billion dollars per annum.
Barrier-1 is founded by members of the resilient flooring
industry. Our products include both integral admixtures for
new construction and topically applied integral systems for
existing concrete slabs. Our warranty includes flooring replacement
in the event of moisture related flooring failures and core
permeability moisture testing of the concrete prior to flooring
placement. Barrier-1 products contribute 6 to 14 points toward
LEED certification.
Barrier-1 is the economical, proactive approach to stop moisture
vapor emission in concrete. Our references include HBE, HCA
Healthcare, Cigna Healthcare, California State Hospitals,
Connecticut School Boards, we are currently working with Gresham
Smith Partners, Earl Swensson Architects and Gould Turner
Associates on upcoming projects.
Barrier-1 Inc. is a CSICEN National Registered Provider.
