Fee:

$150.00 paid to the "CSI Raleigh Durham Chapter".

  • This fee does not include any of the resource study materials needed to complete this study program.
  • This fee will be due on the first day of the program.

 
CSI has made some changes on how the certifications exams are to be offered. Beginning in 2008 all CDT exams will be computer based ONLY and only the advanced exams (CCS, CCCA, CCPR) will be offered on a single day sit down session. CDT exams will be offered twice during the year (see below for exam dates) The CDT and Other advanced exams (CCS, CCCA, CCPR) will be offered as sit down tests at regional conferences that are registered to provide these tests.

Chapter Program Synopsis:

  • The Study Program shall meet on a weekly basis starting the week of January 7, 2008.
  • The weekly programs shall continue thru to Monday, March 31, 2008.
  • The programs will be held at the same time each week, and will last for 2 hours minimum. For a total of 12 weeks (24 contact hours)
  • Specific study material will be dependent on the needs of the participants as there are potentially three different study
    tracks being offered by the chapter program (Construction Documents Technologist [CDT], Certified Construction
    Specifier [CCS], & Certified Construction Contract Administrator [CCCA]) to be included. (See list below
  • Participants will be expected to actively participate in the study session, and bring their own study materials.
  • The study sessions will be designed to cover the sections of the Project Resource Manual, and the AIA or EJCDC
    contract documents indicated for their specific study requirements.

Resource Material to be used shall include the following:

  • Project Resource Manual (PRM) 2004, (CDT, CCS, CCCA, & CCPR)
  • MasterFormat 2004
  • AIA 201-95 (ALL)
  • AIA 101-95 (CCS)
  • AIA B141-97 (CCCA)
  • EJCDC C-700-2002, formerly EJCDC 1910-8-96 (ALL)
  • EJCDC C-520-2002, formerly EJCDC 1910-8-A-1-96 (CCS & CCCA)
  • EJCDC E-500-2002, formerly EJCDC 1910-1-96 (CCCA)
  • CDT instruction will also include questions and review material developed by SpecGuy and presented the Raleigh Durham
    -CSI chapter, and other resources via the internet.
  • CCCA instruction will also include study and review questions developed by the Raleigh Durham-CSI Chapter.

March 31, 2008 - Raleigh Durham Chapter Certification Exam Study Group final session

  • March 29 thru April 5, 2008 – CSI Certification for CDT, Nationwide Computer based Exams (+400 sites)
  • March 31, 2008 – CSI Certification for CCS, CCCA, & CCPR Nationwide Exams (80 sites)

June 3, 2008 – CSI Certification Exam at National Convention (Las Vegas NV)

Next computer based CDT exam dates are September 22- 27, 2008 (Registration to open in Spring 2008 on the institute web site)

The final registration deadline for the CDT exam is February 29, 2008.
